NASARPUR Ancient indus Civilization CityNasarpur was one of the oldest city-settlements in the Indus Valley Civilization which thrived in ancient times along the Indus River. City has been wrecked and re-erected many times in history, sometimes repeatedly. But in other cases the destruction has been so complete that the city was abandoned completely. In 751, Sultan Feroz Shah Tulkh left Ameer Naseer along his 1000 companions to rebuild the city, later on city was named as Naseer pur or Nasarpur. During Jalaluddin Muhammad Akbar period, Nasarpur was one of the major city. According to Hakem Fateh Muhammad Sehwani "Nasarpur was major artery between Dehli (India) and Sindh that allows goods to travel swiftly to buyers". Nasarpur itself is located in Matiari District in the modern-day province of Sindh, Pakistan at 25o31' 0N 68o37' 0E with an altitude of 12 meter. The population of the city is 30,000 approximately. During first city servey held in 1964, city was divided into 8 Wards and 4 cabbagetowns. In recent years city enhanced its geographical area as compare to 1964 survey. Nasarpur have some Historical places which belong to era of Aurang Zaib. Misri Shah (poet) also called King of Kafiyas live most of his Life in Nasarpur.
